INSPIRATIONS

No. 58

This trio of cushions are stitched in muted shades of lavender, violet and mulberry with a combination of silk, wool and cotton threads. Trish Burr has again used Gumnut Yarns perlé silk 'BUDS' combined now with Gumnut Yarns crewel wool 'BLOSSOMS', fine wool 'DAISIES', stranded silk 'STARS' and kid mohair 'TULIPS' to create these cushions on silk and linen.

Trish Burr has combined 'the timeless appeal of natural linen with the traditional beauty of crewel embroidery' on a floral cushion. Thread painting techniques have been employed using a combination of wools and Gumnut Yarns perlé silk 'BUDS'.



 

No. 29

Annie Humphris has designed two beautiful daisy cushions. The same design is stitched on two different backgrounds using Gumnut Yarns 2-ply crewel wool 'BLOSSOMS'. Two totally different cushions result - one suitable for a sun room, the other for a more formal area.
